Day 1 – Arrival in Oulu

Arrival in Oulu and transfer to your centrally located hotel.

Depending on arrival time, first orientation in the city centre. A walk around Market Square and the riverside area offers a good introduction to Oulu’s compact layout and seaside location.

Overnight in Oulu.

Day 2 – Walking Tour & Oulu Delta Kayaking

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a guided walking tour of Oulu.

The tour provides an overview of the city, combining historical background with modern-day Oulu. The route passes through the central areas, including the Market Square, pedestrian zone, and green park areas along the river.

In the afternoon, continue with a guided kayaking excursion in the Oulu River Delta.

Kayaking on the Oulu River Delta

The excursion starts from the Nallikari area and takes place on calm and sheltered waterways. The route follows the Mustasalmi channel into the Oulu River Delta, with views of small islands and coastal landscapes. The activity is suitable for beginners and does not require previous experience.

Optional: Possibility to include an evening sauna experience – perhaps try a floating sauna.

Day 3 – Hailuoto Island Excursion with Lunch

Full-day guided excursion to Hailuoto Island by bus.

Hailuoto, located off the coast of Oulu, is known for its open landscapes, sandy shores, and traditional island community. The tour is operated with a guide and includes stops at key highlights such as the Marjaniemi lighthouse area and the historic fishing village.

Lunch is included during the excursion.

Return to Oulu in the afternoon.

Overnight in Oulu.

Day 4 – Departure

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport.
