Tulikuuma Kumpu Oy is a business group that includes more than 50 restaurants across Finland. The restaurants are known for their relaxed atmosphere and genuine vibe \u2013 the kind where people truly meet people. The same kind of service has been experienced by Tulikuuma Kumpu\u2019s entrepreneur, Jyri Kettunen<\/strong>, from Pohjolan Matka, with whom the company has organised trips for both its staff and stakeholders for over ten years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Jyri Kettunen, trips are usually organised once a year. Some journeys are arranged for Tulikuuma Kumpu\u2019s employees, but trips have also been made for the Eastern Finland Tourism and Restaurant Entrepreneurs Association<\/strong>, where Kettunen serves as Chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travelling By Coach And By Plane<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Trips have been made both by coach and by airplanes, with destinations including Levi in Finland, St Petersburg, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, and, with a smaller group, Berlin. \u201cThe most memorable trip for me was our recent journey to Albania \u2013 it was truly fascinating,\u201d Kettunen says. \u201cThe trip was a five-day experience, and it was a pleasant surprise to see how much interesting things the country has to offer. Berat \u2013 the city of a thousand windows, the Alpeta winery, and Mrizi i Zanave \u2013 Albania\u2019s most famous farm\u2011to\u2011table agritourism restaurant \u2013 were truly unforgettable and unique places. In addition, we had an absolutely fantastic Albanian\u2011Finnish guide who explained everything about Albanian society, from social issues to everyday life today,\u201d Kettunen recalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Kettunen, cooperation with Pohjolan Matka has worked excellently. \u201cWe have our own group sales expert, Seija Turunen<\/strong>, with whom everything runs smoothly and communication feels very natural,\u201d he praises. \u201cAt Pohjolan Matka, the focus is not on problems but on finding solutions to them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kettunen has also travelled with his groups by coach, and he has nothing but praise for Pohjolan Matka drivers: \u201cEnergetic, safe, customer\u2011oriented, and flexible \u2013 that\u2019s how I would describe them. They know how to adapt to the needs of each group and are truly part of the group.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Sustainability Programme Reflects The Will To Do Things Right<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to Kettunen, Pohjolan Matka\u2019s continuously updated sustainability programme, ISO 14001 environmental certification, and the Sustainable Travel Finland label say a lot about the company\u2019s commitment to operating responsibly in today\u00b4s world. \u201cI personally place great value on social responsibility, and this is clearly in order at Pohjolan Matka \u2013 you can see it in the way their employees work and how they meet customers,\u201d Kettunen states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
