Experience the captivating scenery of the Northern Norway! The island of Senja charms with its epic mountain peaks and you get to discover the history and artic life of Lofoten on a guided tour. The Lofoten Islands are famed for their grand scenery of snow-capped mountains and fells shining in purple, crystal clear fjords, turquoise sea and the idyllic fishing villages. The tour includes a ferry trip on which whales can be spotted!

Day 1

Scheduled flight from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport at 7.45am arrives in Kittilä at 9.45am. Transfer to the hotel by airport bus. Accommodation in Break Sokos Hotel Levi. Rooms are available under your own name from the hotel reception. Free time to explore the hotel’s nearby outdoor trails. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
Bus journey to the island of Senja with the expected time of arrival at 4pm. Senja is the second largest island in Norway and it is often referred to as miniature Norway. Accommodation in Mefjord Brygge. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
We set off for the fishing village of Gryllefjord. The Andfjorden is crossed by ferry. This ferry trip is known as the Whale Route for the good chance of seeing whales. Common minke whales, cachalots, killer whales and pilot whales reside in the depths of the fjord. The ferry ride takes just over an hour. There is a café on the ferry. After arriving in the fishing village of Andenes we set for the south and the island of Andøy along a road that is prone to the west coast wind. We stop for a photo break in Bleik, one of the finest sandy beaches in Northern Norway, also popular among Artic surfers. We continue towards the south passing through traditional fishing villages and a vast swamp area ending up on Norway’s largest island, Hinnøya. From Hinnøya we continue to the island of Langøya, which is Norway’s third largest island. Accommodation in Scandic Svolvær. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the entire day on the Lofoten Islands. After breakfast we will explore the spectacular nature and sights of islands with a guide. On the tour you get to admire the beautiful scenery and explore the idyllic fishing villages and harbours. Breaks for photo opportunities are held throughout the day. On the way back to Svolvær we visit the Loftr Viking Museum in the village of Bøstad. Based archaeological discoveries, an ancient house of Viking chief, which displays the life during the Viking Age, has been built in the museum. Overnights stay on Svolvær. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. The trip continues to Sweden and to Björkliden. Accommodation in the Hotell Fjället. The hotel has wonderful vies of the U-shaped mountain valley of Lapporten. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Return journey sets off at 10am local time. Bus journey to Levi. Accommodation in Break Sokos Hotel Levi. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Return journey sets off at 8am local time. Arrival at the Kittilä Airport at 8.30am and the scheduled flight takes off at 10.10am.
