1. Day
Train from Helsinki to Pieksämäki. Train arrives to Pieksämäki before noon, where Pohjolan Matka`s coach is waiting for you. Bus transfer to Leppävirta Sport & Spa Hotel Vesileppis. Buffet lunch.
Visiting Moomin ice cave (open 26.12.20-31.7.2021).Ice cave is located 30 meters below the hotel / ground level).
What happened when Moomintroll woke up early from his hibernation? Journey to the Moominland Midwinter and see Moonminvalley’s inhabitants in 16 beautiful ice sculptures. The ice sculpture exhibit is based on the novel Moominland Midwinter by Tove Jansson. While the rest of the Moomin family are in the deep slumber of their winter hibernation, Moomintroll finds himself awake and unable to get back to sleep. distinguished restaurants outside the city centre, including the rotating Tower Restaurant overlooking scenic vistas on the Puijo hill and Restaurant Saana at an idyllic location by Lake Kallavesi. You can follow the footsteps of the legendary merchant Gustav Ranin on a tour of the Lignell & Piispanen distillery and hear more of history at the historic Koivumäki manor.

In the evening you can choose the longest outdoor stairs in Finland to climb to the top. The total distance from
bottom to top is about 800 meters and there is 1054 steps of wooden stairs on the way, Or the transfer to the Panorama Bar on the top of the Tahko hill.
